The Discovery Scientific Council?is a multidisciplinary panel of mid-level and senior scientists, many of whom have previously served on an American Cancer Society (ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½)?Peer Review Committee.?The Council also includes Community Research Partners?¡ª?people with personal experience with cancer as a survivor or as a family member or caregiver.
Council members play a key role advising the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ on research programmatic and policy issues. ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ uses their valuable insights to inform decision making across the Discovery Science department.
No member of the ÎÚÑ»´«Ã½ Board of Directors may serve on a Peer Review Committee or as a voting member on the Discovery Science Advisory Council.
